Maria’s is owned and managed by us, the Italiano family. We’ve been part of the Melbourne food scene since our grandfather, Natale Italiano, established the Perfect Cheese Company in 1930. While that business was sold some 50 years later, a passion for food remained in our DNA. In 1985, we started producing authentic pasta and sauces from our premises in Fitzroy North. Thirty five years later, we are still rolling and laminating pasta the traditional way. We source the best quality ingredients like premium Australian durum semolina, Italian tomatoes, fresh local vegetables and beef from Gippsland Natural beef, and put our generations of expertise into making award-winning products.
